Broadhurst was first established in 1862 in Longton, Staffordshire producing good quality earthenware.
Kathie Winkle joined the company in the early 1950's and was responsible for the design of all of the patterns until the mid 1970's. During this time, she created many fashionable and recognisable designs, which are now becoming collectable in their own right. In 1984 Broadhurst became part of the Churchill group
