The Adams potteries was first established in the mid 17th century making a range of traditional earthenware products as well as ranges of Queensware and Jasperware. Due to the fragility of the Earthenware, an Ironstone formula was eventually created, which proved to be a huge success, both on everyday tableware and later cookware pieces. Adams was later incorporated into the Wedgwood Group in 1966
