We've had a few trips out this month, including an interesting journey into central London. We do not usually travel into the ULEZ zone to collect china, but on this occasion, we managed to fit several collections in to be able to offer our customers some new (& often hard to find) products
One such acquisition, was a lovely selection of Sadler items from one of our customers looking to downsize their collection. Although not as widely recognised as some of the manufacturers we stock, the Sadler company was founded by James Sadler in 1882, and quickly became known for producing fine earthenware teapots. Both 'cube' and chintz styles were highly popular, as were the novelty teapots produced between 1920 - 1950, which are now becoming quite collectable!
